IX Grand Master of the Order of Saint Stanislaus BM Jan Zbigniew Potocki
Dear Grand Master!
Inspired by the discussion during the V National Officers of the Order Conference in Warsaw on the 25m of March 2010, l decided to help the Grand Master in annulling his decree regarding the liquidation of the Regency Council appointed by the VIII Grand Master Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki, hereby presenting my standpoint.
l resign from my post as member and chairman of the Regency Council appointed by the decree no 1/IX/2009 from the 25th of September 2009 and published in Kałków Godów on the 26th of September 2009.
My resignation will allow the Grand Master to annul his decree regarding the Regency Council without any problems, and thus consider valid the decree no 03/06 from the 17th of September 2006 by the VIII Grand Master Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki.
The decree no 3/06 from the 17th of September 2006, even though it was not announced a few years ago, became effective only following the death of the VIII Grand Master of the Order. That is why this decree may not be annulled, sińce it is an essential decree for the Order. It should not be annulled by the IX Grand Master -provided that hę considers himself a pragmatist who respects his predecessor and His decisions.
Annulling your own decree will allow you, as the IX Grand Master as well as the Order to return to proper relations with the foreign priories and continue good and friendly relations with the Dames and Chevaliers of the Order from around the world.
Popularization of the Order, its Patron's ideals as well as Poland and its culture and traditions around the world is a great and unquestionable achievement of the VIII Grand Master Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki. l wish the new IX Grand Master cultivate this beautiful tradition in the whole world and have his proper, magnificent place in the pages of the Orders history.
During the lnvestiture in Częstochowa on the 8th of May 2009, Grand Master Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki appointed You to be his successor. Hę believed and was convinced, that you would continue His achievements, develop the Order and follow His valid decree from the year 2006 as well as the Order's Constitution. Ali who took part in this solemn event remember your public promise. You nów have the chance to keep that promise.

During the V National Conference of the Oder in Warsaw on the 25th of March 2010, the answer of all the priors to the question posed by you - Should l annul the decree? - was unanimous. The IX Grand Master shoukl annul the decree and continue the work started by Juliusz Nowina Sokolnickt and respect His decisions.

You became a member of the Order on the 10th of October 2008 during the lnvesttture in Wrocław. There you personally swore - on the Order'8 Constitution -allegiance to the VIII Grand Master Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki. You arę alśo obliged by this.

According to the agreements of the V National Officers of the Order Conference l expect a wrrtten expression of the IX Grand Master's standpoint in the matter at hand until the 15 th of April 2010.
